Training For Christian Service

Brief History

The Baptist College, Oyo, which was previously named Joint Baptist Pastors School, was founded on September 30, 1977. The vision for establishing the institution at the onset was to train Pastors who would meet the yearnings of hundreds of churches that were springing up in towns and villages of the then Western States of Nigeria. In the year 2000, the school metamorphosed into a degree-awarding institution and was renamed Baptist College of Theology, Oyo. The Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) is the proprietor of the College, while the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention is the visitor to the College.
